Are Song Lyrics Easier to Memorize Than Homework?

Hello fellow bloggers..

Well, on this posting of mine, I would like to discuss about an issue concerning students around the World..

Recently, I received an invitation via Facebook from one of my friends to join this group named 'I memorize Song Lyrics faster than my Homework'...

Without hesitating, I confirmed the invitation... 

When I thought about it, I does kind of makes sense... For an instance, If I hear a song for more than 3 times, if is like a tape recorder playting in  my head...

To my surprise, I wasn't the only one.. there are millions of people with the same problem..

Well, I did some research and found out that, it depends to us to accept or repel the information received...

When we listen to music, it is like relaxing our minds, but actually we are accepting the information... 

When we study, we are being forced to remember formulas, methods, and facts that we fgeel is boring.. This is what makes the information repelled by our subconscious mind..

We don't realize it but this is what that is happening...

I try to push away all interrupting thoughts while I study... And others should do the same too...

Song lyrics like 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus and 'Love Story' by Taylor Swiftare all carbon copied on my skull already... that is the power of our mind...

Who Says Girls and Boys Can't be Best Friends?

Hello people... Yup, you've guessed it...

I found another topic to discuss about...

Yup.. There was this argument about guys and girls being really close as friends...

I really beg to differ... I totally disagree on this matter..  I think that a friendship between guys and girls are more meaningful between the same gender...

But, you have to choose certain kind of girls or guys.. Some people just can't get along with each other...

Like I have this group of friends in school who are guys whom I just find impossiblr to get along with...

They are like the Sun, amd I'm the moon...

They are like fire and I'm ice...

They are right and I'm left..

Yup.. You've guessed it again... TOTALLY OPPOSITE!!!

So... Yes, if I agree that guys and girls can make great friends...

But, No, if that guy or girl can't get along with you!!!

But there were also some comment that people that are friends, will soon fall into Love..

Well, I believe that if you friend the other person for who they actually are, you will never fall for them...

The Beauty of Music

As all of you know, I am an average teen.. 

And for a teenager, music plays a big role in my life...

I am 1 of those teens who go 'gaga' over The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus... 

I can never get tired of their music... (esp, Taylor Swift's latest single 'Fifteen')

I know of a question that always run at the back of my parents minds...

What do we, teens, see in young singers that totally attracts us to their music?? 

Well, if I had to answer that, I would say that The meaning to their music is just wonderful.. 

Example, Taylor Swift:

1)Teardrops on My guitar talks about the pain that is felt by teens when their ultimate crush refers to another girl when she herself has a massive crush on him...  Believe me, been there, done that!!!

2)Love Story refers  to the feeling that overcomes a teen when parents get in the way of a pair of lovers... and it is also a typiccal love story to most of us...

3)Fifteen refers to her regrets as a teen when she accepted a love request by an elder boy only at the mere age of fifteen...

Now, tell me,

   -which girl hasn't ever gotten a crush on a totally cute guy???

   -a girl that has never liked a guy that liked someone else??

   -and a girl that is stuck between love and life at a young age??

If you were an ordinary girl, this would be a normal thing to go through..

So young girls like myself, find wonderful meaning and guidance from this songs...

Besides, this songs aren't teaching us wrong values...

They are just explaining life to pre-teens and teens...

This also plays a huge factor in Taylor Swift's and other musician's success...

The Top 10 Reasons the World is Against A Left Handed Person...

Well based on research and my own experiences, these are the 20 top things to regret being a lefty...

1)     Sitting beside the less gifted, right handed person, at a dinner table. You know what it's like           to sit next to a lefty at a table, now just imagine always having to be bothered by that.

2)     Those desks in schools, with the slab of wood sticking off of the right side so people can                    "comfortably" right on it. How often do you see ones with the slab of wood on the left                        side?

3)     Note books. Try writing with your left hand on a spiral or 3-ring notebook. Those 3 rings or          spiral metal things kind of interfere with your writing.     

4)     CD cases. The first time a lefty tries to open up a CD case, they totally get confused.

5)     Making "Normal" Check Marks. Check Marks were created by some righty because a left              just can't scratch down a "normal" check mark like right handed people can. Try it and see            for yourself.

6)    Potato Peelers. We just can't use them.

7)     Scissors. It's impossible to use "normal" scissors when you are left handed. The paper just              won't cut. 

8)     Rulers. We think differently, so when a lefty goes to use a ruler the numbers seem to go the          wrong way on a "regular" ruler.

9)     Driving a manual (stick) vehicle. It would be so much easier for the left handed person if                the stick was on the left side.

10)    Boomerangs. There's just no way a "regular" boomerang will return to a person throwing               with their left hand, it's impossible.

Unity for All!!!

Hi readers...

Yes, we meet again in yet another episode of Teenager @ Work!!!

My topic for today is UNITY...

Let us see what does Unity exactly mean...

Well based on the famous online dictionary, Wikipedia, 

Unity carries the meaning of 'unitas' oneness, sameness, agreement from unus 'one'. Unity is

defined as the state of being undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanted in return.

Before I go into detail of Unity.. Let me share an event that I had personally witnessed...

The Black Eyed Peas performed a special live version of 'I Gotta Feeling' for Oprah Winfrey, while a flash mob of synchronized dancers grooved on Michigan Avenue downtown Chicago, IL USA. The performance was at Oprah's 24th Season Kickoff Party on September 8, 2009.

The part that I enjoyed the most was when all the dancers, approximately 20,000 people, turned back and put their hands on a complete stranger's back while dancing to the beat...

Well, the value that I can conclude from this behavior, is that the unity that they show to eachother, without looking at their etnic backgrounds... All of them seem trust eachother without complaining...

Now, let us all take a moment to think of such behaviour if it was practiced in our daily activities...

Do all of you personally think that this behaviour has encouraged all the havoc surrounding us?

A few months ago, my Sivic teacher, Puan Riza said that, she has given upreading the newspaper.. Well, as a curious student, I asked her the reason for such a move..

She said that, she can't stand to read the newspaper anymore.. there are hardly any good news to be heard... Most of them are all murders, rapings, snatch-thieves... People are losing their lifes very easily nowadays... this is what regrets me most...

How can I, live in peace without the thought that millons of people are losing lives everyday...

     - An estimated number of 5.2 millon people are dying in South Africa alone are dying due to            AIDS each year...

     - Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger related causes - one child every five                 seconds.

How can we reduce all this high numbers if we don't unite now?

As we all know, the Malaysian government has introduced the concept of 1Malaysia and has also announced that 16th September of every year as 1Malaysia Day...

I think that this a good step to start a better world... Well, I don't intend to share my political views in my blog, so lets move on...

I wouldn't want my children and grandchildren living in a world  that is too dangerous, to even be scared to walk out of our house.

My parents find it difficult to allow me to even play badminton right infront of my own house.. They don't even allow me to shop around with my group of friends at a nearby shopping mall without the thought of 'it could me the last time they see me' haunting them constantly...

I want a world that I can trust to keep us all safe from harm, for my future generations...

I urge all people from all walks of life, to stop destruction and give hope to the innocent victims of tragedy to continue their life without worry...

My friends and I are like practically fighting to prove that 'Team Jacob' is soooooooooooooooooo much better than 'Team Edward'..

And me, being my usual self, was Facebook-ing...
and guess what I found??????

So, without hesitating, I joined both groups...( like duhh......)

To my disbelief...

There were already more than 170,000 people in both groups...

Well hello people.....

Since the past few months.... Well.... I have:

- gained at least 5 pounds ( maybe... )

- straightened my hair... ( kinda spoiling it...)

- Shifted my lame school.... ( sumwhere on Earth )

- Started on Facebook.... ( ma profile is kinda lame though )

- Stopped taekwondo and badminton... ( tat's why i gained weight )
